Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 4, 2026
Wiper ("the App", "we", "us") is a photo-library cleaner made by Pathom Sriaroonthip. There is no account and no sign-up, and we do not run a server that holds anything about you.
A photo library is about as personal as data gets. Wiper is built so that none of it has anywhere to go.
Your Photos
Wiper reads your photo library on your device to find duplicates, similar shots, screenshots, blurry photos and large videos. That analysis runs locally and the results stay locally.
No photo or video ever leaves your iPhone. Nothing is uploaded, nothing is sent to us, and nothing is shared with a third party. Wiper works fully in Airplane Mode — which is the simplest way to prove it to yourself.
Deletion goes through Apple's own Photos framework, so removed items land in Recently Deleted and are recoverable for 30 days.
Revoke or change access any time in iOS Settings › Privacy & Security › Photos › Wiper.
What Stays on Your Device
The following lives in the App's own storage and is never transmitted to us:
Delete the App and all of it goes with it.
Game Center (optional)
If you switch Leaderboards on and are signed into Game Center, the App submits your Game Center name and your total MB freed — nothing else. No photo, filename, album or library detail is involved.
Game Center is Apple's service, covered by Apple's privacy policy. Leave Leaderboards off and nothing is sent.
Advertising
The free tier shows ads, including the optional rewarded video that grants extra swipes. Premium removes them entirely.
To serve those ads, the ad SDK may access your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) and coarse technical information such as device model, OS version and general location derived from IP address. Whether that identifier is used for personalised advertising depends on your answer to the App Tracking Transparency prompt.
- If you allow tracking: ads may be personalised using your advertising identifier.
- If you decline: ads still appear, but are not personalised.
- Either way: nothing about your photos — no image, no filename, no count, no scan result — is ever passed to an ad network.
Change your mind any time in iOS Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking.
Third-Party Services
| Service | Purpose | Policy |
|---|---|---|
| Apple Photos | Reads and deletes on device only | apple.com/legal/privacy |
| Apple StoreKit | Subscription and purchases | apple.com/…/app-store |
| Apple Game Center | Leaderboard — optional, off until you enable it | apple.com/…/game-center |
| Google AdMob | Ads on the free tier | policies.google.com/privacy |
There is no analytics SDK, no crash reporter, and no Wiper server of any kind.
What We Never Collect
Your Choices & Data Deletion
- Photo access: iOS Settings › Privacy & Security › Photos › Wiper
- Ad tracking: iOS Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking
- Leaderboard: switch Leaderboards off in Wiper's Settings
- Kept history: clear it with Reset kept history in Settings
- Delete everything: uninstall the App. Nothing is retained server-side, because nothing was ever sent there.
Children
Wiper is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. Because the App has no account and collects no personal information, there is nothing for a child to hand over.
Changes & Contact
We may update this policy as the App gains features. Material changes will be noted by updating the date above.
